Clara's baby blessing day.

Today Clara was blessed. She was sooo beautiful. Daddy gave her a sweet little blessing. Her Grandpas Greene and Bates, and Uncles Rick and Jerel were able to participate. Of course when Josh held up little Clary everyone said awwww. But of course. With Shoup genetics she couldn't go wrong.

First real bath and neck exercise!

Here's Clary in the tub. She did better than I thought. She did cry but not like a cat in a lawn mower or anything.

Eve and Roe were trying to show Clary how to pick up her head. She has a lot of brains, so this is not so easy for her. This is a common Shoup problem--over intelligence.

"I want a dog, pleeeeaaaassse" ...

A compromise... fishies!! They think they are super cool which is great because we will never own anything with fur or feathers. The oranger one is Mimi-Papa and the whitest one is Callisity.

When I was doing Eve's hair Monroe wanted to wear a "beautiful bow". So, Eve put put one in his hair and said he was so handsome. Don't worry, I convinced him that was girly and his Spider Man shirt was so cool he didn't need any girly bow.

Guess they wanted haircuts.

What do you think.. this is a sign they were wanting haircuts? Oh boy. Wait wait... I was so shocked!!! No.... this is actually the 3rd time she's cut off all her hair. But this time she had Monroe do it. She thought that made her innocent.

Good thing she looks so cute with short hair! And Roe needed a trim anyway.

Happy St. Patricks Day!

Monroe in his St. Patrick's day hat he made at preschool!! So cute!! He's been wearing it all evening.
Still wearing hats.

Eve taking care of Clara. I think it's cute to see her play all the time with Clara. I prefer it to happen sitting down though. She felt very special to stand and hold the baby for the picture.

This is from yesterday. It was kinda funny, I hear the kids in the living room fighting, "I'm playing with Clara!... I'm sitting by her!" I just told them she's going to live here for a loooong time and we can share her. As it is in the car we already have to rotate carseats so they don't argue over who gets to sit by Clara. I think it's cute.

Clara to church and SnOw!

Clara almost 3 weeks old all dolled up for church.

Eve outside playing in the snow.

Monroe eating his favorite macaroni and cheese in his Sunday best.

House in the snow!!

Clara getting ready to go to the doctor.

Well today began a snowy one.... thought it would melt away.... but it kept coming and coming! We have 9 am church and by the time it was over there was another inch. Then this evening we've had hail and a lot of wind. The lights have flickered some. Eve and I got a bunch of candles and some matches together. We hope the power goes out!! Kind of surprising all the snow we've had this year. But I really like the snow and the rain and wet weather so it's fine. Just had to put up pictures of my beautiful children too.

Clara's 8 days old now!

Clara was out like a light for a looong time after her bath. Josh said we should give her a bath every night.

Daddy adoring his little baby. He's been a bit giddy with excitement since she's been born.

Elise with my beautiful little offspring.

Clara a little on the naked side. Awww.

Mommy holding Clara. And she was so cute and all I just had to snap a picture.

Clara's little piggies.

Eve and Monroe trying to fit in Clara's carseat. ha

More Clara Faye.

We are still all getting to know Clara and enjoy the time with her so little and new. Some pictures:

Here's daddy holding his special Clara at 1 day old.

Here's Clara looking all chill. She's a pretty chill baby. (3 days old)

Monroe is definitely interested in Clara. Though he thought that this chair was a much better toy. They've been using the car seat to sit in and play their video games.

Here's Monroe taking a turn with Clara. She is 1 day old here. He just thought it was funny and wanted me to get her off of him.

This is a common scene. Eve holds Clara for hours every day. Good thing that she needs to eat and get her diaper changed or I wouldn't have a chance to hold her. But really she eats and poops a lot so I'm not deprived. She's 2 days old here.

Eve holding Clara AGAIN/STILL.
I thought this was cute. Clara got a hold of daddy's finger. 4 days old.

Here's Eve posing for the camera. Once again holding Clara. Sometimes she tells me that Clara came out of her tummy and so that is why she needs to hold her. Hmmmm. 3 days old.
WE LOVE CLARA FAYE!
